Oake Meadows provides residential, nursing, dementia, respite and palliative care. With five dedicated areas — each designed for different care needs — residents can remain in the same home even if their requirements change. Our highly trained staff are on hand 24/7 to provide both medical and personal care, fostering a sense of security, safety and wellbeing.
Before moving in, we encourage people to visit the home, meet the team and enjoy a cup of tea — no appointment necessary. Residents are welcome to bring personal items and small pieces of furniture to make their rooms feel like home. Staff take time to get to know each resident’s life story, preferences and routines, so we can tailor care to the individual from the very beginning.
Pets are welcome to visit, and we even have our own resident cat, Petal, and a friendly black Labrador called Daisy who visits daily with our Deputy Manager. In some cases, residents may be able to bring their own pet to live with them — this can be discussed with the Home Manager.
Residents can enjoy a wide range of activities, from live entertainment and bingo to community outings in our minibus. We also welcome animal visitors — including alpacas — and run regular pet therapy sessions. The programme is shaped by residents’ interests and suggestions.
Meals are freshly prepared by our on-site chefs, using high-quality ingredients. Menus are varied and cater for all dietary needs, with alternatives available at any time. Residents are welcome to request their favourite meals, and family members are invited to join with a little notice.
