Oake Meadows Nursing Home, located in the peaceful, residential area of Trull in Taunton, offers expert residential, nursing, dementia, respite and rehabilitation care.

Ellie has been part of the Oake Meadows family for 3 years and is often the first friendly face to welcome relatives and visitors into our home. 🏡
Outside of work, Ellie is a real social butterfly 🦋 She loves travelling, sunny holidays, spending time with friends and family, and is currently studying for her degree alongside work! Ellie is also a proud older sister ☀️

💙 Meet the Team Thursday 💙
Meet Vickie, our wonderful Lead Wellbeing Coordinator!
Vickie has been part of the Oake Meadows family for over 5 years. Starting as a HCA, she progressed to SHCA before joining the wellbeing team just over 2 years ago.
📚Outside of work, Vickie is studying a Classical Civilisations and English Literature with degree. She loves concerts (especially Harry Styles!) and running! Vickie proudly completed the London Marathon for a local dementia charity in 2025. Family time is also very important to her, especially spending time with her younger sister.
Vickie’s favourite part of her role is making residents smile! Whether she’s dressing up for celebrations, leading a bingo or dancing 💃
She also enjoys the quieter moments hearing our residents stories and the wise advice they often share! 💙
